Russian influencer Zhanna Samsonova, better known as Zhanna D’Art, tragically died because of the long struggle she was subjected to with starvation and exhaustion due to an exclusive exotic fruit diet. For years, Zhanna claimed a raw vegan lifestyle on her social media platforms, whereby she mainly consumed fruits, sunflower seed sprouts, fruit smoothies, and juices. Unfortunately, it appears that strict adherence to such diets severely affected her health.
A close friend tried to voice her concerns and try to get Zhanna to take medical help, but she believed that everything was fine with her despite the obvious signs of poor health. Her mother said that while they were on a Southeast Asia tour, her health started deteriorating pretty fast, and she eventually passed away.
Zhanna’s passion for looking young, inspiring others to eat younger, and wanting to help them maintain a youthful appearance inspired her commitment to adopting a raw vegan lifestyle. However, this limited choice of foods deprived her body of important nutrients.
Thus, balanced nutrition is viewed as an important aspect of overall well-being because extreme dieting exposes one to dire health issues. Zhanna’s untimely death teaches us to never indulge in taking chances with extreme diet regimens and to maintain a healthy and balanced approach to nutrition.
